Mbouda: bicycle repairer discovered dead

The lifeless body of a man whose only name we got as Séverin has been discovered this Friday April 7th, at Camp Maïs, in the main market of Mbouda in the Bamboutos division.

The man according to reports was a bicycle repairer at the main market of Mbouda. He was found dead by the roadside under his umbrella by some children who went there to repair their bicycle.

Some traders at the market confirmed that Séverin had been suffering from ill health prior to his demise.

“He was not fine when I passed during the day for his daily contribution. I assured him that things would be well,” a trader in the market recalled.

“I was informed by 3pm by a friend that Séverin had passed away. I asked how that was possible and she said it’s true. I’m shocked. I couldn’t imagine. He was a very good man,” the trader added.

The victim, aged about 40 lived in Bamougong, some kilometers to Mbouda.

His remains have been handed to his family for burial after a team from the Mbouda Territorial Brigade and medics descended to the site to take note of the situation.
