Zimbabwe: Doctor demands FCFA 100M from side chick after DNA results prove he is not the father of her 11-yr-old child

A Zimbabwean medical doctor has sued his former mistress after DNA tests revealed that the child he had been spending money on for 11 years was in fact another man’s daughter.
Dr. Roger Kruger Chigangachia, a prominent pathologist in the Zimbabwean city of Bulawayo made the revelation in court documents that showed that he had spent some $163,000 USD (the equivalent of about FCFA 100 Million) paying for the general welfare of the child and her mother as well as travel costs for the two of them.
According to leading South African news outlet IOL, Chigangacha is suing his former lover, Natasha Popova Sibanda, for falsely claiming maintenance from him after lying that he was the father of her child.
According to Dr. Chigangacha, he had an extramarital relationship with Sibanda From 2011 to June 2012 and apparently, Sibanda; a former actress was also having an affair with another man which resulted in pregnancy.
She however lied to Chigangachia that he was the father and he took responsibility of the child for 11 years, lavishing money on his supposed daughter and her mother.
“By reason of the defendant’s conduct, I acted on her misrepresentation and paid for all the educational requirements of the child up to December 31, 2022,” he claimed in court documents.
“I have also expended some money in respect of travels and costs towards the general welfare and upkeep of the minor child.”
IOL citing other sources, adds that Chigangachia added that “On December 19 2022, and through DNA profiling carried out on me and the minor child, the profile results conclusively excluded me as being the biological father of the child”.
