Please 2023 be kind and cheap!
2023 maybe tougher than 2022 as life continues to get more expensive to live

Since the end of 2021 when basic commodities started witnessing price hikes, businessmen and women in Cameroon have been developing strategies to extort their customers.
These traders have either increased prices or reduce the quality or quantity of their products.
Those who know this biscuit will agree with us that the size of this product has been reduced but the price remains the same. This is just one out of many instances where Cameroonian consumers have cried foul but nothing is being done by competent authorities.
Going shopping these days with FCFA 5000 is like someone with FCAF 50 who wants to buy “puff-puff” balls to deceive hunger.
Many Cameroonians have wondered why with all these sufferings, members of Cameroon’s National Assembly instead of discussing skyrocketed prices of goods, are adopting the 2023 finance law that has seen a sharp increase in prices of stamps, windscreen licenses, imported phones, rice among others.
The annual budget for the 2023 fiscal year stands at FCFA 6.345.1 Billion.
Since 2015, the budget has been in constant increase but Cameroonians continue to swim in abject poverty.
2023 may not be kind, we hope not!
