Littoral region: Man arrested for allegedly killing boss, steals FCFA 1.5million

A man suspected to have killed his boss and made away with the sum of FCFA 1.5 million has been arrested and presented to the public by the judicial police. He was arrested in Yaoundé, on Wednesday, October 19, 2022.
The victim of Malian nationality by the name Samake Karim was assassinated and dumped near a dustbin in the Ariare neighborhood in the Douala 3 subdivision on September 4, 2022, Police sources have said.
The victim was a trader in scrap metals and had sold 1.5 million CFA that day. The suspect also of Malian nationality, who was his employee allegedly took away his boss’s life and the sales of the day.
After thorough investigations, he was finally arrested a month later.
According to the Chief of Crime and Investigative unit, Essono Edou Arsene , the investigation was coordinated by the Regional delegate of National Security of the Littoral region. “The suspect was caught in the Mokolo district in Yaoundé as he passed through Obala trying to escape persecution”
The suspect is currently at the judicial police station in Douala while awaiting trial.
