Yaounde: 4-month-old baby kidnapped?
A four-month-old baby girl has been reported missing at the Carrosel neighborhood in the Kondengui neighborhood, Yaounde IV sub division.
Online reports say the baby’s mother allegedly handed her baby to a woman as she rushed to get the amount of F CFA10.000 from someone but upon her return, the baby and the lady had disappeared.
The grieved mother was approached on September 5th 2022 by a man, asking her to cook for his wife who had just left the operation room in a hospital in Yaounde: a favor she qucikly made.
At about 5pm on September 6 2022, the man came back to Carrosel with another lady in order to reportedly show appreciation for this help. The three went to a bar nearby to have a drink. In the course of doing this, the man gave F CFA10.000 to the baby’s mother to get change before they leave. She allegedly rushed to the porc vendor nearby leaving her baby girl in the hands of the woman who had accompanied the man of goodwill but upon her return, they had left with the baby.
Investigations are ongoing.
