MINDEF Uses Same Denial Style To Wash Hands Off Kumbo, Mbonge Killings

As usual the Communication Director at the Ministry of Defence, has fabricated some lies from his department on the Mbonge incident, saying that the corpses found on a picture were arranged by Separatists to tarnish the image of State forces.

He actually confirms that the raid in Foe Bakundu took place on March 18 but said only fighters were killed and when State forces left, Separatists quickly made a crime scene.

In an Errata post, CNA after findings had confirmed from impeccable sources that some civilians were killed, three wounded and six Separatists killed including “General Spirito”The pictures circulating on Social media were first shared by Government forces who carried out the operation. As no crime is perfect, it never occurred on the State forces that sharing both pictures of before and after the search was going to cause commotion.

How come the Communication Director at MINDEF, Cyrille Atonfac only announced the details of the incident after the surfacing of the picture showing how soldiers asked old men, children and women to sit on the floor?

The same style denial style has been used when government forces attacked a civilian inhabited area in Kumbo on March 26, 2021, and claimed to have killed 4 separatists- MINDEF is sued to saying that “when they were patrolling, Separatists opened fire” but they have never reported civilian casualties caused by State forces during their operation.
