COVID-19: Ambazonia ‘Interim Government’ President Shuts Down Border

The President of the ‘Interim Government’ of Ambazonia, a self-proclaimed Republic , break-away from Cameroon , consisting of the northwest and southwest regions, previously known as Southern Cameroons, has announced a shutdown of borders, land, sea and air. Samuel Sako in a statement on March 29, 2020 said the measures to begin on April 1, that also includes restriction of movements , meetings , are aimed at curbing the spread of the COVID-19. These measures are already being implemented in Bui division.

The statement further states that there maybe a complete lockdown in the territories if the situation becomes preoccupying.
