Yaoundé, Cameroon –January 24, 2018-8:30 PM Local Time (Cameroon News Agency) Activities of the newly elected Miss Cameroon, NSEKE Caroline, have been suspended until the organizing commission, Commission Miss Cameroun, COMICA presents proves that the Miss Cameroon beauty contest organized on December 30, 2017 was void of fraud, the Centre Administrative Court has ruled.

In a decision Wednesday January 24, 2018, the Court suspended the results of the 2018 Miss Cameroon Competition and summoned heads of the organizing committee of the pageant.

The Coordinator of Miss Cameroon, Mme Amougou Solange, the President of the jury of the beauty contest, Claude Abate, the Baillif,  Barrister MAH Ebenezer and winner of the contest, NSEKE Aimée Caroline are due to appear in court on February 8, 2018.

The decision came after a candidate dragged COMICA to court over fraud. The Candidate number 20 said she was relegated to the background by members of the organizing committee when she was called up amongst the top 10 finalists.

COMICA has been at the center of criticism lately for choosing a candidate who could not sing the national nnthem as the most beautiful woman of Cameroon.

Last year, the 2017 Miss Cameroon was dismissed over what COMICA termed insubordination.
