Anglophone Crisis: 122 Southern Cameroonians Were Murdered in One Week-Hon Wirba

Jakiri, Cameroon- Tuesday October 31, 2017-8:30 PM Local Time (Cameroon News Agency) The SDF member of Parliament for Jakiri special in Bui division, Hon Wirba Joseph has revealed that a total of 122 civilians were killed in the two English speaking regions of Cameroon on September 22 and October 1 peaceful protest.

Hon Wirba said after those incidents he set up a fact finding mission to the 13 divisions comprising  of 15 men with him as Chairman and they found out that 122 people were killed, 150 still missing, 1894 injured by direct gun shots or torture and at least 16 000 cases of internal displacements.

The firebrand Social Democratic Front Party MP for Jakiri also said the UN has on records over 40 000 Cameroonians who have fled violence and now refugees in Cross River State alone.

He said the death toll in military intervention on September 22 and October 1 was “Appalling for a country that calls itself peaceful and its people as united, in peace”.

According to Hon. Wirba, an all inclusive conference by Anglophones is necessary for them to put forward their stand to the government.
