Youpwe Gendarmes present 3 suspected armed bandits to public

Gendarmes in Douala, Littoral region, have this September 1st presented three suspected armed bandits to the public. They were apprehended recently in the Youpwe neighbourhood precisely at a place called “Hotel Marina 2000” after a raid carried out by the Youpwe Gendarmerie elements on the night of August 25th.

According to authorities, these suspects were in possession of an automatic pistol, a dagger, two motorcycles, and marijuana, all seized by the security elements.

The automatic pistol and another dagger were discovered in a bush in the “village” neighbourhood following their interrogation.

According to the Youpwe Gendarmerie officials, investigations are still ongoing to find other weapons they reportedly used to attack their victims and burgle homes.

The arrest of the three suspects, according to the population of Youpwe, is coming as a relief.

Meantime, the Youpwe inhabitants during the presentation of the suspects were told to collaborate with gendarmes and the police for their own safety.
