Woman stabs husband after misunderstanding
Sad denouement for 26 year-old Thierry Mbarga Owono, resident in the Nkomo neighbourhood in Yaounde. The fridge repairer was found agonizing in his pool of blood on his veranda while his girlfriend whose name CNA got as Stephanie, watched.
Thierry, father of two had moved into the neighborhood four years ago with his companion and neighbours and family members had reportedly been complaining of the lady’s violent attitude:
“When Stephanie hit his head with a laptop once, I warned him to quit but he told me it is nothing. Now he is gone” a close relative laments on Facebook.
Unfortunately, his next argument with Stephanie cost him his hife. It is reported that after a quarrel, Thierry Mbarga decided to step out of the house onto the veranda hoping Stephanie would have time to calm down but this only irritated her the more. A while later, he is said to returned into the house and asked to be allowed to get some rest. This request allegedly put Stephanie on edge and she ran to the kitchen where she got hold of a kitchen which she then used to stab him in the chest.
Stephanie who is being detained at the Nkomo gendarmerie blames this tragedy to her anger. The remains of Thierry have been deposited at the Ekounou military hospital morgue.
