White South African woman abandons mansion worth millions to become US “refugee”

Santana de Bruyn, a white South African woman is causing waves in the country and some accusing her of being an “opportunist” after she listed her five-bedroom mansion for sale. According to ‘The South African’, a leading online newspaper, De Bruyn put her 2.3 Million Rands (about 75 Million CFA) mansion up for sale after leaving for the US.
She has since blocked her Facebook page and is accused of being an “opportunist” and not even a farmer.
‘The South African’ reports that the 33-year-old De Bruyn was not a farmer but rather an employee with Heineken where she had worked for about a decade.
Several other so-called Afrikaners profiles’ have revealed that they are not farmers, some are corporate job holders and one is a mining executive called Carl Niehus.
The issue is a contentious one in South Africa where racial tensions have persisted since the fall of Apartheid in 1994 but have been relatively well managed until 2018 when Trump in his first term stoked conspiracy theories of “white genocide” and reignited them during his second term, going as far as signing an executive order to that effect in January after being sworn in.
Analysts argue that Trump is in fact punishing South Africa for taking Israel (a strong ally of the US) to the International Court of Justice.
