“When I promise, I keep my word” – Bobdidy after OPOPO victory
The President of Victoria United, Nkwain Valentine has been hailed by players and fans of his club, for meeting the objective he set at the beginning of the season.
Victoria United’s victory grabbed in the 2-2 draw against Stade Renard on the final day of the 2024 Elite One playoffs, came as a fulfilment of the President’s vision.
“I know I am going to be the champion of the Elite One. I’m not doubting” Valentine Nkwain said.
“I’m ready for the championship. I’ve put a lot resources, a lot of tactical game. I know I’m going to go for CAF championship this year” he added.
Despite alleged claims of fraud and match-fixing against him, Bobdidy has gained wide admiration for his respect of the financial engagement with his players and staff.
According to a report published by SYNAFOC some weeks ago, the club was among seven teams that respected the payment of player salaries in the just-ended season.
Following the club’s victory on Thursday, Valentine Nkwain also kept his word by handing the sum of 10 million FCFA which he promised the team before the decisive game against Stade Renard.
