Vision 4 owner meets NCC President after regulatory body extended sanctions on journalists

The founder of Groupe L’Anecdot including Vision 4 Television Channel, Jean Piere Amougou Belinga has visited the head office of the National Communication Council, NCC, in Yaounde.

The NCC had just extended sanctions against three journalists serving at the company for violation of journalism ethics. The two months extension was made after the trio failed to respect the July 28 sanctions from the NCC.

Mr. Belinga’s visit comes at a time when opinions are high that the three might be suspended from a higher office like that of the Interior Ministry.

The President of the NCC, Joe Chebonkeng has visited the Minister of Interior, Paul Atanga Nji, to plead for reinforcement of its decisions. The Minister responded positively adding that he has zero tolerance for those not respecting decisions from the media regulatory body.

Martial, Bruno Bidjang, and Raul Mba do not seem disturbed about the sanctions as they go about their activities unperturbed.

Mr. Belinga’s visit is also expected to end in him accepting the decision from the NCC and asking his boys to leave until the appropriate time.
