Victoria United files protest against three clubs for forgery

In an outing on their official social media handle, Victoria United of limbe revealed they have filed a protest against three elite one clubs, citing allegations of double identification and forgery.

The clubs accused of double identification and forgery are Avion Academy, UMS Loum and Yong Sports Academy stating that Avion Academy had one player with double identification, UMS Loum had ten players with double identification, and Yong Sports Academy had six players with double identification all during their matches against Victoria United

The protest filed by Victoria United claims that the double identification and forgery of players breached the FECAFOOT’s Disciplinary Code of October 10th 2023 which stipulates that if a player is fielded in a match despite being ineligible, the team could face sanctions by forfeiting the match and paying a minimum fine of 100,000 CFA francs.

In addition, if ineligible players are fielded in a competition, FECAFOOT’s judicial bodies considering the integrity of the competition may impose any disciplinary action including forfeiture on the club or association.

The said allegations, if found true, could have a detrimental effect on the accused clubs, but however the issue is Left for the FECAFOOT disciplinary committee to homologate the said matches.
