University Games: Preparation upbeat at host Ngaoundere University

It is only 9 days left for the kick-off of the 23rd edition of the university games, scheduled in Ngaoundéré from April 29th – May 6th, 2023.
Prior to the event, preparations have been underway to ensure the completion of the infrastructure projects to host these games.
The local organizing committee recently completed an inspection mission, CNA learned.
The Rector of the University of Ngaoundere, Pr Chinje Uphie Florence said ” We are trying to organize everything including the list of everyone to be part of this event. Apart from the athletes, we have other categories such as coordinators and technicians, the media, and even the medical staff.”
The president of the Local Organizing Committee, Kildadi Boukar, said everything is ready for the University games.
” All infrastructures are ready and all the games will be played in Ngaoundere, we hope for a better organization of the games in the days ahead,”
Created on January 6, 2022, the Ebolowa state university will be part of the games for the first time.
For this year’s games, 7 disciplines have been selected namely: football, basketball, handball volleyball athletics, judo, and wrestling.
On the field, the advanced preparations of one session per day, the footballers under the guidance of the supervisors are making the last adjustments.
On the side of the municipal stadium, the athletes involved in athletics in the 100 and the fundraising races are also making preparations.
As for basketball players, handball players, and volleyball players at the pace of two sessions per day, they revised their moves for better performance. Wrestling and judo are not left out, everyone wants to be marked during the games.
The University of Ngaoundere which is hosting the games for the third term in its history has the ambition to make this event a great success.
