UK Minister For Africa Calls On Parties In Cameroon Conflict To Stay Engaged In Swiss-led Process
Honorable Member of Parliament who doubles as the UK Minister for Africa, was replying to concerns raised by a member of the House of Commons, Rt Hon Ed Davey, regarding the trade deal between the UK and Cameroon.
According to James Duddridge, the United Kingdom is closely following the situation in Cameroon and this could be seen through his March 2021 visit at the Unity Palace where he met President Paul Biya.
He also met Prime Minister, Dion Ngute, foreign Minister, Mbella Mbella and members of the civil society in the southwest region.
MP Duddridge said the UK has urged parties to remain with the Swiss led dialogue initiative and address the root causes of the conflict.
