Two state forces and one amba fighter killed in North West region
The death count at the end of June 14th 2022 as a result of the ongoing crisis stands at three in the North West region. Earlier during the day, an element of the special gendarmerie unit, GPIGN and another from the army were gruesomely murdered. Warrant officer Yangman of GPIGN and his colleague from the army are said to have isolated themselves from their nit when the attack occurred. In images obtained by CNA, both men can be seen with their brains blown out and fingers chopped off.
Another death recorded is that of a non-state armed fighter who has not been formerly identified yet. He was shot by state forces in Ntamru, Ndu, North West region of Cameroon during a gun battle. His remains were put on display for the population to see.
These three deaths add to an endless string and are a result of the ongoing socio-political crisis in the North West and South West regions of Cameroon.
