Trump wants Malema arrested but doesn’t realize he’s like Malema
Moegsien Williams, New Age editor, a South African publication likened Julius Malema to Donald Trump and he’s right. On May 21st, when Trump was asking South African President, Cyril Ramaphosa to “arrest that man” (referring to Malema), that struck me as rather funny because Trump shares a lot in common with Malema than he realizes. Both men are populist leaders. Malema is often celebrated by his base for “speaking his mind without fear or favor” – exactly like Trump’s supporters say of Trump! Malema thrives in controversy and often doubles down when asked about these controversial remarks – again, just like Trump!
Malema finds race issues to be a good bait for his base – just like Trump!
The difference though is that Trump comes across as a hypocrite when he calls for Malema’s arrest for freely expressing his views when Trump in fact does worst by labelling entire racial groups as “dog and cat eaters”; “shitholes”, “murderers”, “rapists” etc and for him to play a video of Malema at rallies as evidence of this Elon-fabricated “genocide” is laughable.
You’d expect Trump to produce facts and statistics by his own CIA or FBI who have state-of-the-art technology and resources to go to South Africa and do the research into this fictitious “genocide” but no, Trump picked clips from YouTube and printed out news reports and blog posts with some from the Congo and conspiracy theory blogs as his evidence.
