Truck kills two women in Maroua

The truck was transporting Irish potatoes but suffered an accident on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, after it tumbled off the national road No.1 in the Far North region, ending its course in the bush.

Two traders were onboard, all women died while others were injured.

Witnesses blamed the accident on the impassable state of the said road linking Mogode and Maroua.

It’s been years since the tarring of the Maroua-Mokolo-Rhumsiki-Guider stretch of road was drafted on paper.

Nothing has been done, leaving the population helpless.
