Transport ministry creates application to verify registration certificates

The new application called “TRANSDOCS” will according to the minister of transport improve on the fight against fake registration certificates as it will enable users know the status of vehicles they intend buying.

This new application will be used by insurance companies, road control teams as well as forces of law and order in tracking stolen cars that have undergone changes. The public will also be able to use this application via the website www.cartegrise.cm

Henceforth, car owners will individually check on the status of their vehicles themselves before any change, duplication, renewal or registration of their certificates by simply inserting the chassis number in the data base of the transport document system.
