Pupils to start registering exams online – Dr Vivian Asheri Kilo

The Secretary of State at the Ministry of Basic Education, Dr. Vivian Asheri Kilo, is chairing a 5-day meeting in Mbakomo, Centre region, aimed at evaluating the level of preparedness of education stakeholders ahead of this year’s Government Common Entrance and First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC).

Among some new developments highlighted to be implemented soon, is the online registration of exams by pupils.

Speaking on Monday, March 27, Dr. Asheri Kilo said “we hope to improve on the preparations in these exams.”

“It is also meant to ensure that we are prepared in terms of the question papers having been produced, having been duplicated, and having been packaged, ready for dispatch to all the ten regions,” she indicated.

“We are going to start having the children register their exams online. We are finding out on ensuring that the children would understand how to fill their examination requests,” the Secretary of State added.

The Government Common Entrance starts on May 11, while the First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) and the CEP for the French subsystem, begin on June 6 and 7 respectively.
