Suspected Amba fighter beaten in Bafut for fighting with Biker

The population of Njibujang rose up on Friday, July 22, 2022, on a good foot until the day was spoiled by an unfortunate incident. A suspected member of the armed group “Bafut 7 Kata” stopped a commercial bike rider at their checkpoint and allegedly demanded the sum of FCAF 2000 or his bike was going to be impounded, CNA has been told.

The bike rider vehemently refused to comply and said he didn’t have the amount. The separatist fighter engaged in a ferocious fight with the biker. The fight caused a commotion as many passerby’s and civilians intervened and took sides with the commercial biker.

The population fell on the separatist and administered jungle justice. When they noticed he was helpless, they abandoned him at that checkpoint and left.

The population has said they are tired of the multiple checkpoints and harassment from both the regular and the separatist armed forces.
