Sports roundup: Cameroon Cup finalists known
Bamboutos FC of Mbouda has qualified for the final of the Cameroon Cup 2022, they will lock horns with Coton Sport of Garoua.
Fans and sympathizers of Bamboutos FC of Mbouda were overjoyed at the weekend as their team qualified for the final of the Cameroon Cup 2022 after beating Avion 2-0 at the Douala Reunification Stadium on Sunday. The club’s quest for their first trophy in the tournament has been going on for almost 50 years and many think this could be the club’s year of glory.
To make this dream come true, the team has to overpower the last obstacle on their way – Coton Sports of Garoua.
Coton Sports, current league title holders and one of the country’s favorites grabbed their ticket to the final after beating Union on a 2-0 score. They now have a major objective to realize a double this season and maintain their position as Cameroon’s best local club.
HANDBALL: Some days 1, 4, 5 & 6 matches of the 2021 /2022 national elite handball championship encounters took place over the weekend and the following results were recorded.
