Qualified nations for AFCON 2023 submit squad lists

24 provisional squads for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations have been submitted to CAF by Participating Member Associations (PMAs).

The deadline for submissions was December 14, with each member association qualified for the final tournament submitting a provisional list of no more than 55 players.

The size will further be trimmed to 27 players, an increase from the initial 23 from previous events.

Qualified member associations have till January 3 to submit their final squads.

CAF pointed out that only 23 players will be available for selection for each match during the tournament. The AFCON will be hosted in the Ivory Coast cities of Abidjan, Bouake, Korhogo, San Pedro, and Yamoussoukro, from January 13 to February 11, 2024.
