Sectarian violence shows ugly head in Sokoto, Nigeria
Muslims have vowed to kill anyone who sides with a level 200 student, Deborah Yakubu Samuel, who was stoned to death by Muslims in Sokoto, Nigeria, on Thursday, May 12, 2022.
It is alleged that the Christian 200-level student of Shehu Shagari College of Education Sokoto, had said blasphemous words against Prophet Mohammed.
She was dragged into the streets and stoned by Muslims who also protested in the streets, setting properties on fire.
Her last words, “What do you hope to achieve with this?”
The Christian Association of Nigeria has called for a nationwide protest following the killing of a level 200 student, Deborah Samuel, for alleged blasphemy on Prophet Mohammed in Sokoto.
They urged CAN members to carry out a sitdown peaceful strike to avoid further killings.
The Buhari regime has come under fire for not being able to track down the killers of Deborah and bring them to justice, more than three days after the gruesome murder.
