Secondary education ministry digitalizes academic orientation

The Ministry of Secondary Education under its boss Pauline Nalova Lyonga, has this September 5th officially launched an academic or orientation platform.

According to the secondary education ministry, parents, guardians, students and any other member of the educational community can get every information they need for academic orientation by contacting the platform on 242 237 000. This is only in case of need relating to secondary education.

“At the other end of the line, guidance counselors are waiting. Their job is to receive persons with issues and provide answers to their concerns. If the demands turn out to be beyond their capacities, the telephone advisers refer the users to the multi-sector specialists. Presented as the innovation of the 2022-2023 school year, the call center has a specific objective, which is the continued digitalization of teaching. The call center also speeds up the school orientation process” Pauline Nalova explains.

In her remarks relating to the start of the school year on Monday by videoconference, the minister of secondary education called on the education family to use this number which is according to her, already functional.

According to Minister Pauline Nalova Lyonga, this also contributes to the implementation of the digitalization of teaching and the transformation of obstacles into opportunities.
