The Social Democratic Front (SDF) has condemned the disruptions encountered during the national tour of Honorable Chief Joshua Osih, Chairman of the SDF.
The tour, which aimed to engage citizens across various regions, faced significant obstacles on Sunday, May 5, 2024, during the Akom Ii – Biwong Bulu lap in the South Region.
According to the Minister of the Shadow Cabinet of the SDF in charge of Information and Media, Nguidjol Ngan, “groups of individuals claiming to be militants of Cameroon People Democratic Movement (CPDM) Party…erected numerous barricades…making it even more difficult for his convoy to move on.”
Despite the challenges posed by poor road conditions and hostile actions, “Honourable Chief Joshua Osih and his delegation remained determined to see their program through to the end,” Nguidjol Ngan stated.
In response to the troubling events, the SDF has called on the government to uphold its responsibility for the personal safety of Honorable Chief Joshua Osih and his entire delegation. Nguidjol Ngan emphasized that the party “Calls on all Party Members to remain calm and ensure serenity.”
Additionally, the SDF has urged its members to remain calm and maintain a sense of serenity in the face of adversity.
