SDF Chairman warns NEC members from unnecessary media debates, promises sanctions

The National Chairman of the Social Democratic Front party, SDF, Hon. Joshua Osih, warned his collaborators, who are all members of the National Executive Committee, NEC, not to take part in Tv, Radio or Social Media debates that are unnecessary to the party.

He made the warning on Saturday during the committee’s meeting held in Mbouda, West region.

“If I notice that any member of the NEC who was here today and who takes part in distractive debates, whether it is radio, tv or social media, we will have a personal problem…take part in constructive debates,” Hon. Osih warned.

He further stated that debates about who will be candidate for the October 2025 elections will not yield any political fruits for the party. While stressing on the need to be prudent and only engage in positive debates, he said that to him, anyone who wants to become candidate, should be allowed to so that they all can battle together in October.

The NEC meeting was held on the sidelines of the party’s 35th anniversary, holding in Mbouda, West region.

Hon. Osih is the party’s flagbearer for the 2025 elections in October. This will be his second chance, after losing his first in 2018.
