Roof collapses on students as they write Baccaleaureat exams in Yaounde
The final high school exam of the francophone sub-system of education, baccaleaureat will be unforgettable for students of Government High School Minkan, a locality on the outskirts of Yaounde.
It is under the heavy rains that they sat in for the exams this June 1st 2022 before nature came growling. The roof above their heads and the walls came crashing in on them during the national classification paper.
Fortunately, no loss in human lives was recorded but some students have been taken to hospital and being observed as they sustained injury. Secondary education minister Nalova Lyonga has visited the school alongside her team to ensure that this is the last of such occurrences.
