Tiko: Woman fakes pregnancy, miscarriage using Chicken

A woman identified as Chacelline has allegedly faked a miscarriage after pretending to be six months pregnant. The bizarre incident occurred in Tiko, South West region, where a chicken wrapped in baby clothes was discovered in a bag she brought to a hospital in the area. During investigations, CNA was told that the local clinic belonged to a certain Dr. Oben, however, we were unable to reach out to hospital administrators at press time.

Nurses affirmed on record that Chacelline arrived at the hospital in visible distress, claiming she was ill. However, suspicions arose when the “fetus” she claimed to have miscarried turned out to be a dead fowl. She had even prepared a carton, allegedly meant for the burial of the supposed child.

Images and videos of the incident have since gone viral online. In one of the videos, the woman is seen crying while hospital staff, visibly outraged, force her to carry the chicken. A woman, believed to be a nurse, is heard scolding her, saying she hadn’t slept the entire night due to the situation.

The voiceover in the video further accuses Chacelline of having a criminal past. A man can be heard alleging that the boyfriend’s uncle once spent 3 million FCFA to get her out of prison following a motorbike theft case. “Can she ever change?” he questioned.

The incident has sparked shock and outrage, with many expressing disbelief and indignation over the act
