Two Cameroonians have officially assumed their leadership roles at the Baptist World Alliance (BWA). They were inducted into their functions on July 10 at the ongoing Baptist World Congress taking place in Brisbane, Australia.
The two are former CBC Executive President, Rev. Dr. Nditemeh Charlemagne and Mr. Yuniwo Edison. Nditemeh was commissioned as a member of the Baptist World Alliance (BWA) Commission on Baptist Doctrine and Unity and into the Commission on Multifaith Relations – roles which will see the former CBC leader engaging with fellow Baptists from across the world and with other Christian groups and other faith traditions.
Mr. Edison Yuniwo, also a CBC Christian was inducted into the BWA Resolutions Committee and will help in implementing BWA resolutions. Yuniwo is the current President of the All Africa Baptist Fellowship (AABF) – the largest continental body of Baptist conventions in Africa, was former Chairman of the CBC of the CBC Men’s Department and also works in a leadership role with CAMTEL.
Both men will serve the Baptist World Alliance for a five-year term that expires in 2030. They will serve in their various commissions alongside other Baptist leaders from Jamaica and the USA.
