PWD’s Elected President of ACEC, Promises to Take Elite Football to Another Level
The Association of Elite Clubs of Cameroon, ACEC, now has a new president. He is Pascal Abunde,
president of PWD Social Football club of Bamenda.
The young and dynamic Pascal Abunde was unanimously voted by all club presidents present during the
Extraordinary General Assembly of ACEC that took place at the United Hotel in Mbankomo on
October 16, 2021.
Before Saturday’s Extraordinary General Assembly, the affairs of the Association were manned by Pierre
Batamak, president of Avion Academy of Nkam, who was handed leadership of the Association on
temporal basis, during one of their meetings on Friday, October 08, 2021.
The Association of Elite Clubs of Cameroon, ACEC, was headed by Frank Happi, then president of Union
Sportive of Douala, but he automatically lost his position, after resigning as Union’s president.
Before the unanimous decision to choose Pascal Abunde as the president of ACEC, he was previously
fourth vice president under the Frank Happi lead Bureau.
The biggest challenge for the Pascal Abunde led bureau now, will be the start of the 2021_2022 football
season in Cameroon, which is still uncertain and looks likely to begin just after the African nation’s cup.
