Powerline between Bafoussam and Nkongsamba inaugurated
The minister of Water resources and energy Gaston Eloundou Essomba on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, rounded up his two-day working visit in the West.
He personally supervised the launch of powering up the electricity line from Nkongsamba to Bafoussam.
The line inaugurated by the minister is expected to boost electricity supply in the North West and West regions from 7, 000 to 225 000 volts.
With this, the economies of these two regions will also be boosted given that households and businesses here have for the past years been experiencing frequent power cuts, low tensions and just to name a few, thus increasing living standards in these localities.
The minister also powered up the 225v post of Bafoussam and will replace the thermal power plant with a fuel supply. The thermal power plant costs a fortune.
