Police, stadium director molest female sports reporter in Buea

Bisong Macdela, a sports reporter for the Kick442 website, was on her way into the Molyko Omnisport Stadium to cover a league 1 game when she was molested by police.

While at the gate, she noticed that she had forgotten her batch but she presented a soft copy on her phone to the stadium director, someone who has knowledge of the incident narrated it to CNA.

She was called up by the stadium director, Njonje Mbua, who molested and handed her over to a police officer.

The officer got her well beaten before kicking the reporter out of the stadium. She is now receiving treatment in Buea. it is alleged that she took pictures of the officer but going through her phone, nothing was found.

Journalists trade unions have said they are on the matter.
