PM Dion Ngute satisfied with progress of Far North development projects

Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute inspected ongoing development projects in the Far North region on April 29, 2025, as part of the government’s efforts to enhance the country’s infrastructure. The visit focused on the reconstruction of key roads, including the Mora-Dabanga-Kousseri and Bogo-Pouss roads.

During the inspection, the Prime Minister assessed the progress of work and provided recommendations to the companies and project managers. Notably, the Mora-Dabanga-Kousseri road project has completed the soil-cement foundation layer over 10 km and laid the base layer with bitumen gravel over 6 km.

Boosting Local Connectivity

The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of completing the base layer before the rainy season and encouraged the teams to meet their objectives. He expressed satisfaction with the progress on the Bogo-Pouss road, which involves constructing a 32.86 km regional road section and developing urban roads in Maroua and Bogo.

The projects, worth 500 billion, aim to improve connectivity and facilitate economic growth in the region. The Prime Minister’s visit demonstrated the government’s commitment to monitoring progress and ensuring timely completion.

The Prime Minister concluded the visit by announcing increased monitoring of all ongoing projects, underscoring the government’s dedication to improving Cameroon’s infrastructure.
