Playoffs schedule for Elite championships confirmed

The Championship Playoffs of the MTN Elite One will take place from March 16 to April 7 2024 in the Economic capital Douala, as confirmed in the end-of-season calendar approved by FECAFOOT president, Samuel Eto’o.

The Championship playoffs will gather 8 teams which will battle for the 2024 Championship title.

The teams are

– Coton Sports of Garoua

– Stade Renard of Melong

– Yong Sports Academy of Bamenda

– Fauve Azur of Yaounde

– Canon of Yaounde

– Dynamo of Douala

– Colombe of Dja and Lobo

– Gazelle of Garoua

Matches will be played in a single legs and the best at the end will be crowned Champion of Cameroon.

The Relegation Playoffs on its part involves 11 teams  to fight relegation or maintenance in Elite One. The competition will run from March 16 to April 21, 2024 in Yaoundé.

The teams involved are:

-Aigle Royal of Menoua

– Union S.Douala

– PWD Bamenda of Bamenda

– Bamboutos FC of Mbouda

– Astres of Douala

– As Fortuna of Mfou

– Victoria United

– UMS of Loum

– Fovu of Baham

– Avion Academy

– Apejes of Mfou

At the end, 6 teams will be maintained in Elite and 5 will be relegated to the Elite 2 championship.

In the Elite 2 championship, the promotion playoffs will be played in the West Region as from March 16 to April 7 to determine the two teams that will be promoted to the Elite 1 next season.

The teams involved are :

– TKC

– Aigle of Moungo

– Bafmeng United

– Racing of Bafoussam

– Eding of la Lekie

– Djiko of Bandjoun

-Dragon of Yaounde

– Panthère of Nde.

In the Relegation Playoffs of the Elite 2 championship which will still be played in the West Region, 8 teams are involved to determine the teams that will be relegated to the Regional leagues.

The participants are :

– Foncha Street of Bamenda

– FAP of Yaounde

– Isles of Hope of Limbe

– YAFOOT

– Unisport of Upper Nkam

– Renaissance of Ngoumou

– Léopard of Douala

– Rangers of Bafut.

The draws of this final phase of the Football season will take place in Yaoundé on March 9, 2024.
