Over 16 million Mosquito bed nets to be distributed within 1 year
About 16,756,200 Long-lasting Insecticide-treated Mosquito Nets will be distributed across the country from June 2022 to September 2023.
This is the major outcome of a press briefing held by the minister of public health, Dr. Manaouda Malachie, on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, in Yaoundé.
During the event that was also attended by the WHO Resident Representative, Phanuel Habimana, the health boss revealed that the main objective of this fourth national campaign for the distribution of free Mosquito Nets that began on June 5, is to ensure the protection of at least 80% of Cameroonians during this defined period of time.
The distribution of the Long-lasting Insecticide-treated Mosquito Nets has been divided into three phases.
June – July 2022 for the Adamawa, North, and Far North regions
September 2022 for the East, West, and Littoral regions
September 2023 for Center, South, North West and southwest regions.
