Cameroon’s old habits of lack of proper preparation ahead of a tournament has caused the U23 Indomitable Lions to lose their first match by forfeiture in the opening group A game at the 2022 Islamic tournament in Turkey.

Algerians present, Cameroon absent

The U23 Desert Foxes of Algeria won on the green turf 3-0 and now have 3 points in group A that comprises Cameroon, Turkey, Algeria and Senegal.

As the Algerians entered the field, their counterparts were still in Cameroon. The U23 Lions left Monday night August 8, 2022.
