NWR: Senior Prison Administrator, Three Others Die in Amba Attack
The Bui Unity Warriors have claimed responsibility for the killing of a senior prison administrator for the North West region, Kiga Theodore, and three other Warders on April 12, 2022.
CNA correspondent in Bui Division has confirmed the information, revealing that the attack occurred around Kikaikilaiki, 5KM away from Kumbo town.
On the ground, sources have also confirmed that the Regional Delegate to North West’s Penitentiary, Mr. Kiga, and three others were returning from Nkambe in Donga Mantung Division.
They used the road that was recently reopened by Ambazonia forces little did they know what awaited them ahead. Dressed in mufti but still identified by the Ambazonia forces, their vehicle was ambushed.
“I don’t know what those guys were thinking to use that road. They better should have gone round through Ntaba”, a source told CNA in an interview.
In a video shared by the separatists, the victims could be seen on the floor with one having tyres on his body while others lay dead on the main road.
“We killed them and others ran away…we seized three guns,” one of the fighters said.
