Noun SDO Blocks Road From Desperate Bui, Donga Travelers

A month ago, Ambazonia fighters from Nso and Ngoketunjia blocked the Nso-Ngoketunjia-Bamenda road.
They were protesting the arrest and detention of family members of their colleague, called “General I Nova Die”. This happened in Ndop, after the kidnapping and killing of a Gendarmerie officer by the self-styled general.
His family, including two babies, was taken to Bamenda for trial.
As a result, desperate travelers from Nso and Donga Mantung started using the very long and dangerous road that passes through the West region. They go through Jakiri, Kitupit, and enter the west region via Koutaba before going to Bamenda or other parts of the country.
It wasn’t long before the SDO of Noun Division, in what seems to be some sort of punishment, added salt to injury by placing a general ban on all vehicles or motor bikes coming from or going to the North West region through that stretch of the road via the Noun Division.
He ordered those leaving Nso to Bamenda or vice versa must follow the regular road through Ngoketunjia. This decision practically divides the Bui Division from Noun as if they are administrative units in two different countries. This once again brings out the reckless behavior of these DOs, considering that the Nso-Bamenda road is blocked as a result of the actions of the SDO of Ngoketunjia, who ordered the arrest of the family members, against the Geneva Convention and IHL.
