Northern Regions Must Take Control of Their Destiny – Maurice Kamto

Maurice Kamto, declared candidate in the 2025 presidential election, has issued a call to action to the people of the Northern Regions, urging them to take control of their destiny and reject the current regime’s neglect and manipulation. In a statement released today, Kamto criticized the CPDM regime for treating the Northern Regions as a “reserve of votes” and neglecting key areas such as security, infrastructure, education, and healthcare.
Kamto expressed concern over the regime’s attempts to create division and manipulate the population, warning that this could lead to violent confrontations. He emphasized the importance of unity and peaceful coexistence among different socio-cultural and religious communities, encouraging people to work together towards a common goal.
The candidate urged the people of the Northern Regions to register to vote, vote against the current regime, and monitor the electoral process to prevent fraud. He emphasized that the people must take ownership of their destiny and demand better representation and services from their leaders.
Kamto’s statement goes in line with the growing discontent among the population in the Northern Regions and the need for change. As the country heads towards the 2025 presidential election, Kamto’s message is likely to resonate with many who are seeking a better future for themselves and their communities.
But the statement comes on the heels of spares of resignation from the presidential majority ,from the Northern regions.
There are speculations that they might be playing a game to divide the opposition.
