Nkongsamba: man suspected of killing old man arrested
A man suspected of killing an older person in the Ebouh-Mbeng neighborhood of Nkongsamba has been arrested by security forces after investigations.
Reports say that Joseph Kameni was in his 80s and peacefully at home on the rainy night of July 1st 2022 when the bugler came in. Surprised that the old man was still awake at the late hour, he quickly hit him in the head before stealing his belongings. Due to the heavy rains, neighbors could not hear the noise from his house as they would have in a calmer environment. Joseph kameni died a few hours later in hospital. The suspect is said to have been wearing one of the victim’s jackets at the time of arrest. He is currently in the hands of competent authorities and is expected to be taken to prison pending trial.
