Nigerians say Buhari insensitive on Owo attack, criticize APC Caucus

Nigerian President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari, comes under fire for hosting APC national caucus on Sunday night, just a few hours after the Owo, Ondo State massacre.

The stakeholders of the party met at the Hall of the Presidency, a few hours to the National Convention of the party that will witness the election of the party’s candidate for next year’s presidential polls.

More than 50 persons have been reported dead with several injuries being treated after gunmen detonated a bomb accompanied by close range shooting of Christians at St Francis Catholic Church in Owo.

Buhari Condemns attack

Earlier, President Buhari charged emergency agencies to swing into action, and bring succour to those affected. He said eternal sorrow awaits perpetrators of the massacre.

He said “No matter what, this country shall never give in to evil and wicked people, and darkness will never overcome the light. Nigeria will eventually win.”
