Nigerian based Cameroonian accused of defrauding more than 30 with fake visas
More than 30 Cameroonians are stranded in Abuja and Lagos, a victim who reached out to CNA said.
The supposed travel agent called Jimmy but popularly known as Docteur is said to have promised many visas to travel to Southern American countries.
He is from Tiko and presently wanted by Nigerian Police. I am talking with deep regrets. He is the one making making many Cameroonians to be stranded in Abuja and and Lagos . He has ran away with almost FCFA 20 million”. A victim lamented.
Jimmy is accused of working with his girlfriend and other fake travel agencies in Cameroon to scam people looking for greener pastures abroad. These sets are always vulnerable and can do anything to travel unknowing to them that some of these agents are fake.
“All the fake Colombian and Bolivian visa he is the one doing it. He is also working with many agencies in Buea, Douala and Yaounde. They make people to come and later they will not go. They pay you flight and give you fake Visa and later you are not able to travel” another victim said.
