Newly appointed Batonnier’s representative for Fako, rejects appointment

The newly appointed Cameroon Bar Council President’s representative for the Fako division Barrister Ntoko said he will not take up the position.

In a letter dated July 12, 2022, Barrister Ntoko Ebah thanked the president of the Bar Council, Barrister Eric Mbah for the appointment but apologized for being unable to accept the position. The reasons for this rejection are not mentioned leaving many with speculations.

He however makes it clear he will continue to work as an elected bar council member and encourages him to find another to fill his shoes as Fako division’s representative.

Barrister Ebah Ntoko Justice is the first person from the list of appointees to reject his appointment.

Justice Ntoko was a contestant for the top position at the bar but like others, he was beaten in the polls that took lace in Yaounde in June 2022.
