PAMOL supervisor found beheaded and in an advanced state of decomposition

Emmanuel Sunday Mbombo is the latest victim of the ongoing socio-political crisis in the North west and south West regions of Cameroon. The PAMOL team supervisor was found beheaded and in an advanced state of decomposition four days after he was kidnapped by gunmen. This happened at the Mana Makeke estate belonging to the agro-industrial company which specializes in the production of palm and rubber, PAMOL.

Emmanuel Sunday Mbombo was stationed in Mudemba, Ndian division and was accused of being a traitor by armed fighters. This is because he continuously called on workers of the company to continue working in spite of warnings by separatist fighters to stop activities in the area. The fighters claim he “resisted” them and so was beheaded. They also announced that ten road construction company workers are in their captivity and will only be released on the condition that ten separatist fighters are released from prison by government. The road construction workers were working on a road in the locality when they were abducted and their trucks set ablaze.

This is not the first time a supervising staff of PAMOL is so gruesomely murdered. Eric Bakia was also a victim of the armed separatists just like the late regional delegate for penitentiary services, Theodore Kigha Kume who was killed and then beheaded by amba fighters. Theodore and three other penitentiary workers were laid to rest this weekend.
