MINSEP says he did not report Eto’o to FIFA
The news broke on Facebook this July 19th. Activist Boris Bertold announced that sports minister Narcisse Mouelle Kombi had reported the vacancy at the helm of FECAFOOT following Samuel Eto’o Fils’ sentencing by a Spanish court to 6 months imprisonment and a fine for tax evasion.

The social media activist said that Mouelle Kombi had not used his name to send the message and added he was certain that the minister would send out a communique to refute this. articles 36 and 47 of the FECAFOOT rules are clear about such sentences but many believe there is a problem of interpretation of the said texts.

Many are those who say that there is an old rivalry between the sports minister and FECAFOOT president Samuel Eto’o Fils but Mouelle Kombi says this is unreal and the rumours being spread by Boris Bertold are unfounded.
Samuel Eto’o and his team are yet to respond to any of these allegations.
