Minister Nalova Lyonga debunks rumors of PTA dissolution in Secondary Schools
Yaoundé, Cameroon ( CNA) – Secondary Education Minister, Pauline Nalova Lyonga informed the general public that circulating information on the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) ban is unfounded.
Her recent comments in an interview contrasted viral misinformation on some media organs. Minister Pauline emphasized that the PTA remained a vital component of the education system.
The MINSEC boss said the role of the PTA was crucial in supporting the government in managing schools and ensuring children receive quality education. She highlighted the significant contributions of the PTA, citing the provision of electronic equipment in schools as a notable example.
“I did not make any announcement,” she declared adding that, “the media should stop saying that I have said so.” Prof. Pauline Nalova Lyonga regretted that some people were seemingly jubilating without considering the impact.
