Michèle Ndoki wants to lead the CRM

Barrister Michele Ndoki has expressed her desire to lead the Cameroon Renaissance Movement (CRM) in the near future. This she hopes will be before the next presidential election in Cameroon.

Ndoki was speaking during a debate programme on Canal 2 Internationale called “L’Arene” which aired this June 5th 2022. Prior to this, Michele Ndoki held the position of deputy president of the women’s wing of the CRM. She had however been incarcerated for her political views and had chosen to leave Cameroon for Cote d’Ivoire where she has been until her most recent appearance on the Canal 2 programme. “I admire his determination, intelligence and engagement towards his dreams” Ndoki said speaking of the current CRM president Maurice Kamto.

The internal regulations of the party state in its Article 28 states that the National president, vice president, secretary general and treasurer can stand for two terms in office with a duration of five years per term after which this will no longer be possible.

It is therefore expected that Maurice Kamto will be a candidate for the party’s next internal election. Eyebrows have however been raised by many on social media as far as Ndoki’s candidacy is concerned with the main question being how she will justify her absence for the past two years from all party activities
